We offer a unique kennel-free dog resort in Aubrey, TX. We are dedicated to providing top-quality, compassionate care for dogs and their owners. As a homelike environment without kennels, we focus on enrichment, fun, and safety, offering dogs a natural space to play, relax, and be themselves. Our team is passionate about making a positive impact in the community—partnering with local shelters and rescue groups to help dogs in need. Owned and operated locally, we pride ourselves on a close-knit, fun-loving workplace where staff and dogs alike thrive. Job Details We are actively hiring Pet Care Counselors to join our team. This role involves supervising playgroups of dogs, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Key responsibilities include monitoring dog behavior, following positive reinforcement handling protocols, feeding, administering medication, and professionally engaging with pet parents. You'll conduct safety checks, clean the facilities, and assist with administrative tasks such as check-ins, check-outs, and client communication. Shifts are 12 hours, from 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 5:45am - 6pm depending on the shift you're scheduled for, three days a week, with a one-hour lunch break. Paid training is provided, including a 90-day training period for experienced handlers and longer for newcomers. Please note that we prioritize candidates with prior volunteer or professional dog handling experience. Ideal Candidate Our ideal Pet Care Counselor is a dependable, energetic, and positive individual who truly loves dogs and people. You must be able to build great relationships with clients, communicate effectively, and work well within a team. Experience managing large groups of dogs (25-30) in a daycare or boarding setting is essential. You should be comfortable handling dogs using positive reinforcement and be able to recognize dog body language and health signals. Dependability, reliability, and a proactive attitude are crucial—you should take initiative without needing direction.
