This is not a temporary or seasonal position . We are looking for someone who wants to become a valued member of our team, grow with our business, and make a long-term commitment to providing exceptional care to our pet guests. Our facility serves pet parents throughout downtown Austin and the surrounding Austin area . We specialize in dog and cat boarding and also provide dog play care . We are busy year-round and are rarely without a full house, making this an active, hands-on, and highly interactive work environment. Our number one goal is simple: provide the safest, cleanest, and best possible care for every pet in our facility. Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role: Safely rotate dogs in and out of supervised playgroups throughout the day Supervise and monitor dog playgroups to maintain a safe and positive environment Check pet guests in and out Provide exceptional customer service to pet parents Prepare and serve meals according to each pet's individual instructions Provide attentive care to dogs and cats staying overnight Clean and maintain pet suites daily, including changing cat litter boxes Thoroughly clean and sanitize indoor dog play areas Handle frequent waste cleanup — there is a lot of poop! Complete laundry throughout the day Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the facility Communicate with teammates regarding pet needs, behavior, medications, feeding, and changes in routine Administer medications as directed, including injections when required Enter pet care notes and updates into facility software (training provided) Safely transport dogs to the downstairs veterinary clinic when needed Follow all safety, sanitation, and animal-care procedures

Important:
This is a hands-on animal care position — it is not a job where you sit around and play with dogs all day. Pet care involves physical work, cleaning, laundry, feeding, monitoring playgroups, customer service, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.
