Ruff Ranch Pet Boarding is hiring! If you are a fun, hardworking, reliable person that loves dogs, come join our small team of dedicated dog professionals. We are a social dog boarding facility seeking a positive, flexible person. We are currently seeking someone that can confidently work our weekend hours (Sat. & Sun. 7:45am-12pm & 2:30-5pm) as well as some weekday hours. Must be able to work some weekday hours as well. This is a great position for a college student looking to gain some experience under their belt or just loves to be around dogs when they aren't in class! This position is part time , but could move into full time for the right candidate in the summer busy season. Ruff Ranch is growing and is looking for candidates interested in moving into senior positions. Being a Kennel Technician is rewarding, but it's more than just cuddles and playtime. This is a physically active role that requires someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty to ensure our pups are happy, healthy, and safe.
Kennel Technician duties include:
ensuring the health and safety of our dogs by maintaining a clean environment observing dog pack interaction and socialization, and moving dogs around the facility noting individual behaviors and health concerns and reporting them to supervisors serving food and water, administering medication, and providing baths for dog guests using positive techniques to correct and redirect ill-manners when necessary greeting our local pet owners with kindness and a smile
Requirements:
MUST love dogs and genuinely care about the welfare of them Possess a positive "can-do" attitude and help keep the energy upbeat Reliable transportation and an understanding that the dogs and your team rely on you Professional appearance, language and demeanor Availability on weekends and some major holidays Drama-Free!
