The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing the highest level of service to our furry clients. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of animals in our facility, ensuring they are comfortable, safe, and healthy. This will primarily be a weekend job with limited shifts during the week. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and common areas. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures. Support dog training sessions as needed. Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any questions or concerns. Handle heavy lifting as required when moving animals or cleaning supplies. Assist with administrative tasks related to animal care and kennel operations. Requirements Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred (kennel experience is a plus). Familiarity with dog training techniques and veterinary practices is desirable. Experience as a veterinary technician, assistant, or groomer is an advantage. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
