Love Dogs? Come Work With Us! Molly's Mutt House is looking for dependable, hardworking Pet Care Technicians to join our team. We've been caring for Houston dogs since 2004, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our Pet Care Technicians are at the heart of what we do—providing safe, compassionate care while keeping dogs comfortable, engaged and happy. Loving dogs is important, but this job is much more than playing with puppies. It's an active, hands-on position that includes feeding, cleaning, potty breaks, enrichment, monitoring dog behavior and health, and lots of time on your feet. If you love dogs, work well as part of a team and take pride in doing things the right way, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Dog Care & Enrichment Provide calm, compassionate care for dogs staying at our facility Feed dogs and follow individual feeding and care instructions Provide a minimum of four outdoor potty breaks each day and accurately document care Monitor dogs for changes in behavior, appetite, stool, energy level or overall well-being Keep dogs comfortable with clean bedding, fresh water and clean living spaces Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds and temperaments using proper handling techniques Provide one-on-one enrichment activities designed to keep dogs mentally and physically engaged Follow individual dog profiles, special instructions and established safety procedures Communicate concerns promptly and clearly with team members and leadership Playgroups Team members who are trained and approved for playgroup responsibilities may also: Introduce dogs for off-leash social play using established safety protocols Supervise playgroups and monitor canine body language and behavior Keep dogs appropriately engaged while maintaining a safe, controlled environment Communicate behavioral observations or concerns to the team Cleaning & Facility Care Keeping our facility exceptionally clean is an important part of caring for dogs. Clean and sanitize dog suites, common areas and outdoor yards Complete daily cleaning and sanitation checklists Wash and fold laundry Clean food and water bowls and other pet-care equipment Properly dispose of pet waste Report maintenance issues, damage or supply needs What We're Looking For A genuine love of dogs and commitment to their well-being Dependable, responsible and team-oriented Comfortable working with both large and small dogs Able to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures Strong observation and communication skills Comfortable working outdoors in Houston weather Able to lift 50+ pounds and remain active/on your feet for extended periods Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled Previous professional dog-handling experience is preferred but not required Knowledge of canine body language, behavior, training or grooming is a plus Schedule Pet care is a 365-day-a-year responsibility , so weekend and holiday availability is required. Shifts are scheduled within our operating hours:
Monday-Friday:
7:00 AM-6:30
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM-5:00
PM Sunday:
9:00 AM-6:00 PM Morning and afternoon/evening shifts are available based on scheduling needs.
