Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Enrichment Pet Resort Counselor, where your passion for animals and energetic personality will shine! In this role, you will be the heart of our pet care facility, providing exceptional enrichment activities, attentive animal handling, creating Report Cards for the animals in our care, caring for the cats as well as dogs, and outstanding customer service. Your enthusiasm will help create a safe, engaging, and loving environment for pets while ensuring their well-being and happiness. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your pet care skills, and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to animal enrichment and care excellence. Responsibilities Engage pets in stimulating enrichment activities that promote mental and physical health, including play sessions, activity exercises, and social interactions Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure comfort and security Assist with cat boarding, and sanitization to maintain a clean and healthy environment Monitor pet behavior closely to identify signs of stress or discomfort; communicate observations to veterinary or management staff as needed Support outdoor work tasks such as walking dogs, yard cleanup, and ensuring outdoor enclosures are secure and sanitized Provide excellent customer service by greeting pet owners warmly, answering questions about pet care routines, and updating them on their pets' activities Assist with team lifting and heavy lifting tasks related to equipment or supplies while maintaining safety protocols Experience Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued, but not required Experience in pet sitting or pet boarding facilities demonstrates strong animal care skills Kennel experience or animal handling background is preferred for safe and confident interactions with various animals, but not required Customer service experience helps foster positive relationships with pet owners and team members Outdoor work experience involving pet walks or yard maintenance supports the physical demands of the role Join us as an Enrichment Pet Resort Counselor if you're passionate about animals, eager to make a difference in their lives, and ready to bring energy and enthusiasm to a rewarding career in pet care!
