Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for dogs and the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services. This role involves working closely with pets and their owners, ensuring that each animal is groomed to the highest standards while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Requirements Must have 2 years of proven experience in a professional setting Must be available to work every Sunday and every other Monday Must have your own clippers and shears Responsibilities Perform haircuts as well as bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin, providing recommendations for care as needed. Handle pets safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment. Communicate with pet owners about grooming options, pet care advice, and any observed health concerns. Provide excellent customer service to foster strong relationships with clients and their pets. Skills Dog grooming techniques with a strong understanding of various breeds' needs. Experience in dog handling to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for larger breeds or equipment.
Pay:
$25.00 - $38.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have at least 2 years of verifiable experience cutting dog's hair in a professional salon setting? What makes you an excellent candidate?
