Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Team Lead and Junior Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and possess skills in animal handling and care. This position is perfect for individuals who have experience in veterinary settings, dog training, or pet grooming. Responsibilities Bathe, dry, brush, trim/grind nails of dogs according to their specific needs and breed standards. Expressing anal glands externally. Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during the bathing process. Handle dogs and other pets with care, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary. Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools to ensure a hygienic environment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs. Assist in the care of animals by monitoring their behavior and health during grooming sessions. Support the team with additional tasks as needed, including laundry, heavy lifting of larger animals or equipment. Requirements 1 year experience in dog handling, animal care, or related fields is preferred. Background in veterinary technician, kennel technician or veterinary assistant roles is a plus. Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and tools is beneficial. Knowledge of animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment. Previous experience in kennel settings or pet sitting is advantageous. Are you able to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted? Do you have any supervisory experience?
