Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services including trimming, brushing, nail clipping when needed usually bather does it, ear cleaning, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with care and confidence, ensuring proper restraint and safety protocols are followed during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing grooming or veterinary care if needed Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, sterilizing tools and equipment regularly to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with store manager about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of various coat types and breed-specific styles Knowledge of dog training techniques and dog handling skills to ensure safe restraint during grooming procedures Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable for assessing health concerns during grooming visits Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as tubs of supplies or large dogs safely and effectively Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and address their questions or concerns Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background is beneficial for understanding animal behavior and care needs Join us in creating a positive environment where pets are pampered with love!
