Job Description

Join our team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for grooming come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully cared-for pets. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families every day!
Commission:
50% After a minimum of 60 days, you can expect a commission bump if all goes well!
Minimum Days:
2 days/week Can add more days if you are interested! Duties Full Grooming in our shop looks like a bath, blow dry, brushing, ear cleaning, nail trim and the haircut to the owner's specifications Our add-ons include nail grinding, teeth brushing, anal gland expressions and color on ears and tail only You will be expected to bathe and blow dry your own dogs. While we do not provide a bather, the owner is in shop everyday and will assist. Maintain a clean and organized grooming station Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament Help with note keeping and behavioral changes with our regulars
Qualifications Minimum:
1 year of grooming experience Knowledge of breed-specific styles and pet care techniques Strong dog handling skills combined with animal restraint expertise to ensure safety during grooming procedures Previous kennel experience or animal care background is a plus Willingness to learn new skills related to pet grooming, animal restraint, and overall pet care Pros of working with us! You are not customer-facing. Another employee will be checking in the appointments and taking payment. Your assistance will only be needed in this area for extra expertise or questions from the client. We are laid back! We do our best to keep an easy going environment, which can be difficult on busy days with loud pups. We strive to work together and stay focused to get through the busy days calmly. You recieve your tips from every client who appreciates your hard work. Our shop is tucked in between multiple neighborhoods. We are across from a high school and do not see a lot of the traffic that comes from being packed into many commercial buildings. We have been here for 6 years as of May 2026! There is established clientele for this area. We host vaccine clinics every 2 months that draw in lots of people. Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals fuels your daily work!
