Job Description

Experienced Dog Groomer Experienced Dog Groomer needed for a friendly, professional salon. Patience, gentle handling, and professionalism with pets and teammates are essential. Salon hours 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Dedicated reception staff manage scheduling and customer communication, and separate bathers do bathing and prep so groomers can focus on grooming. Groomers may occasionally bathe dogs when needed. Appointment-based salon. Groomers typically handle 5-7 dogs daily depending on size and breed. We provide tables, tubs, dryers, and shampoos. Groomers bring their own tools. Commission-based pay plus tips. Responsibilities Groom dogs including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards or client preferences Handle dogs safely and treat every dog with patience and care Observe coat and skin condition and notify owners of any concerns Maintain a clean grooming station and sanitize tools regularly Communicate with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare Work as a team player, helping colleagues when needed Occasionally assist with bathing dogs Requirements Professional dog grooming experience required Certified groomers preferred Bring your own grooming tools (scissors, clippers, blades, combs, etc.) Ability to safely handle and lift larger dogs when necessary Able to provide references from previous grooming employers Previous veterinary, kennel, or pet care experience is a plus Comfortable with different dog sizes and temperaments Work Environment We value kind treatment of animals and a positive team culture. Team members support each other, especially when handling challenging dogs or busy schedules. Experienced groomers with an existing client base are welcome to bring their clients with them.
