In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our furry clients. This position starts off Has part-time but should work into full-time as summer approaches. Weekends and holidays ARE required!!! Hourly rate commensurate with experience plus commissions and tips from our generous customers. Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, walking, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing as needed. Support pet owners with customer service inquiries and provide updates on their pets' activities. Help with dog training sessions as directed by trainers or management. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving supplies or assisting with larger animals. Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff. Qualifications Previous experience in pet care, pet sitting, or veterinary settings is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physical activity throughout the shift. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. A background in dog training or grooming is a plus but not mandatory. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic. A genuine love for animals is essential for success in this role.
