This energetic position combines animal handling expertise with grooming artistry, providing a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. As a Dog Bather, you will be responsible for bathing, grooming, and maintaining the hygiene of dogs while delivering exceptional customer service. Your passion for animals and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes pet health and happiness. Duties Safely handle dogs during bathing and drying processes, ensuring comfort and safety for each pet Perform pet coat styling, trimming nails, cleaning ears, and other grooming services to meet owner specifications Restrain animals appropriately during grooming procedures using animal restraint techniques Maintain cleanliness of tools and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, and after-care instructions Assist with pet care tasks such as kennel cleaning as needed Handle heavy lifting when necessary to move large or heavy animals or equipment safely Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus Experience working as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is advantageous Strong understanding of animal restraint and safe handling practices for various breeds and sizes Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with pet owners and team members Ability to perform pet nail trimming, coat styling, and general grooming with precision Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during busy shifts Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background is beneficial but not mandatory Join us in creating a caring environment where pets are treated with love and professionalism!
