Pet Caregiver/Dog Daycare and Boarding/Play Yard Attendant Camp Bow Wow McKinney Texas - 2.9 McKinney, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $10 - $12 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Problem-solving Organizational skills Full Job Description Pet Caregivers support daily operations by overseeing the interactive behaviors of all day care and overnight campers and ensuring a safe and clean environment. The incumbent will supervise and assess the behavior of multiple dogs and quickly resolve behavioral issues to ensure the safety and well-being of every dog. This position will require frequent interaction with customers, including conducting interviews of new campers and providing details regarding services. Successful candidates will have a love of dogs, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a high standard of cleanliness, and are extremely reliable and willing to learn. Responsibilities Supervise dogs in indoor and outdoor play yards Conduct, interpret and communicate pet screening evaluations Appropriately assign Campers (dogs) to respective groups based upon established guidelines Perform Camper (dog) health checks throughout the day and notify management/supervisors of any changes in health or appearance of the dogs in our care Recognize and immediately address signs of aggression or other behavioral issues Ensure that morning and afternoon waste elimination, rest, and snack breaks are provided consistently Clean Cabins, play areas, common space (including break and restrooms) Recognize and perform specific care needs as communicated by the pet parent and in accordance with company policy and procedures, ensuring the safety of each pet. Provide basic dog grooming (baths, nail trimming) Attend regularly scheduled and ongoing internal training classes Perform additional general duties and project work as needed Qualifications Must LOVE dogs! Punctuality Fast learner with lots of initiative Excellent customer service skills Strong communication skills Exceptional organizational skills & ability to prioritize Must demonstrate a sincere concern for the care of animals and their relationships with their pet parents Comfortable around dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments Previous experience in a grooming or pet care facility demonstrating knowledge and ability to recognize, train and/or successfully address canine behaviors is preferred High school graduate or equivalent required' ' Typical end time: varies by shift: 12:30pm, mid day ~ 4pm or close at 7
