Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for pets and staff Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, recommending appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice Assist with pet handling during grooming procedures, ensuring gentle yet secure restraint at all times Support pet care activities such as pet sitting or kennel duties when needed to provide comprehensive animal care Experience Prior experience in pet grooming is required; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus Experience with kennel management or pet sitting enhances ability to manage multiple animals comfortably Strong customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns effectively Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds safely when handling large dogs or equipment This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to make a positive impact on pets' lives while developing their skills in animal care and grooming.
