Overview Join the team at Healing Hands Veterinary Hospital as a Part-Time Pet Groomer ! We're looking for an experienced, compassionate, and reliable groomer to provide high-quality grooming services while creating a positive, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. The ideal candidate is confident grooming a variety of breeds, has excellent animal handling and customer service skills, and takes pride in helping pets look and feel their best. This is a part-time position working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday , offering the opportunity to join a supportive veterinary team . Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures Restrain pets safely using appropriate techniques to facilitate grooming while minimizing stress or discomfort Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Support veterinary staff with basic animal handling or restraint tasks when required Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styling techniques Knowledge of dog training principles to manage various temperaments during grooming sessions Veterinary experience or veterinary technician background is a plus for understanding health considerations during grooming Animal handling skills including dog handling, animal restraint, and general pet care expertise Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move pets or equipment safely Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners and team members Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, and overall animal care practices Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals meets your professional skills! $280.00 - $450.00 per day
