Summary Central Bark Spring is looking for an experienced and dependable Pet Groomer to join our growing team. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work, genuinely cares about the dogs in their care, and can consistently provide high-quality grooming services in a safe, professional, and positive environment. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for completing full-service grooms from start to finish, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, scissoring, nail care, ear cleaning, and de-matting when appropriate. Grooming should be performed according to breed standards, coat condition, and each pet parent's preferences. This position is best suited for an experienced groomer who already has a professional grooming foundation and is comfortable completing full grooms independently. While we provide training on Central Bark's procedures, standards, and systems, this is not a groomer training position. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, comfortable handling a variety of breeds and temperaments, communicates well with clients and team members, and understands that the safety and well-being of every dog always comes first. Responsibilities Perform full-service dog grooms from start to finish, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, scissoring, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other routine grooming services. Assess each dog's coat, skin condition, temperament, and overall grooming needs before beginning services. Groom and style dogs according to breed standards, coat condition, and specific client requests. Communicate with pet parents to understand grooming preferences and desired results. Safely and confidently handle dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, coat types, and temperaments. Monitor dogs throughout the grooming process for signs of stress, discomfort, skin concerns, or other conditions that may require additional attention. Provide a patient, calm, and positive grooming experience while prioritizing each dog's safety and well-being. Maintain clean and sanitary grooming stations, kennels, tools, tubs, equipment, and surrounding work areas. Properly clean and disinfect grooming equipment and follow established sanitation and safety procedures. Communicate professionally with pet parents regarding grooming results, coat maintenance, matting, and recommended grooming schedules. Work collaboratively with the Central Bark team to maintain an organized and efficient grooming operation. Qualifications Minimum of 1+ year of hands-on professional dog grooming experience preferred. Must be comfortable independently completing full grooms from start to finish , including bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring, and finishing. Professional grooming experience in a salon, pet care facility, veterinary environment, mobile grooming business, or similar setting is strongly preferred. Confidence working with a variety of dog breeds, coat types, sizes, and grooming styles. Strong clipping, scissoring, blending, and finishing skills. Ability to safely handle dogs with different temperaments and behavioral needs. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistent, high-quality grooming results. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to manage a daily grooming schedule efficiently. Excellent communication skills with both pet parents and coworkers. Ability to work independently while also being a supportive member of the Central Bark team. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and animal care. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, position, or assist dogs of various sizes when necessary.

$270.00 - $500.00 per day
