In this energetic role, you'll provide professional grooming services that enhance each dog's comfort and appearance while ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your attention to detail, animal handling skills, and love for dogs will shine through in every groom. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming techniques appropriately Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, sterilizing tools and equipment regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide professional advice on pet care Assist with pet handling tasks such as animal restraint and managing pet behavior during grooming sessions Support additional animal care duties as needed, including kennel cleaning or basic pet sitting responsibilities Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong focus on dog handling and animal care techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet grooming tools, and pet care best practices Ability to lift heavy loads safely when handling large or heavy dogs Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Previous veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus but not required Strong animal handling skills gained through kennel experience or pet sitting roles are beneficial Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills help pets look their best while ensuring their well-being.
