Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong customer service skills. As a Kennel Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to dogs while ensuring a safe and clean environment. This role is essential in supporting the overall well-being of dogs in our facility. Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, bathing, exercising, and providing love and pets to our canine guests. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas, ensuring a hygienic environment for all animals. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management immediately. Administer medicaitons and treatments to canine guests as needed. Engage with pet owners, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Support staff members in various tasks related to animal care. Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or larger animals as required. Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff. Requirements Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred but not required; paid training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners are required. Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with animal care. Familiarity with canine CPR and First Aid is highly recommended. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
