The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for ensuring that our furry clients receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while their owners are away. This role requires physical stamina, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of animal behavior. Responsibilities Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds in different weather conditions. Ensure the safety and well-being of each dog during walks. Maintain control of dogs at all times, utilizing proper handling techniques. Provide fresh water and ensure dogs are comfortable before and after walks. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs. Report any health or behavioral issues observed during walks to the pet owner. Maintain a clean environment by picking up after dogs during walks. Build positive relationships with both pets and their owners through excellent customer service. Send pictures of their pets once you enter the clients home, when out on a walk and once the pet is back at the clients home. Experience Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred, including roles such as Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Pet Groomer. Familiarity with dog behavior and training techniques is beneficial. Experience in customer service to effectively communicate with pet owners. Knowledge of pet care best practices, including feeding, grooming, and basic health monitoring. A background in equine care is a plus for those who may also handle larger animals.
