The Unleashed Pet LLC is seeking dynamic individuals to join our pet care team! In this role, you will have hands-on experience providing quality care to our clients' pets - making sure they get exercise, nourishment, and affection while their owners are away. This is an excellent fit for anyone who loves working with animals and helping to ensure that they are happy, safe, and well taken care of. Our company is a local, woman-owned service that has provided in-home pet sitting and dog walking to our community for the past 8 years. Our tight-knit staff services Alexandria and immediate surrounding areas, and we provide quality care to all types of domestic companions, including dogs, cats, exotics, and pocket pets. Our team members are employees, not independent contractors, and we provide them with ongoing support. This includes opportunities for training and education (such as training in canine and feline behavior, Pet First Aid, and Pet CPR), provision of company smart phones and company-branded clothing, and regular staff meetings intended to build team relations. Our ideal candidates will have the following qualities: Compassion for animals Professional and Personal experience with pet handling and care Comfort in a fast-paced environment Demonstrate a motivation to work with animals and an eagerness to learn more about canine and feline health, well-being and positive handling skills Appreciation for working outdoors in all weather conditions Competence in reading and writing English Desire for long-term employment of one year or more Own a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licenseQualifications:
Excellent written communication skills Cell phone savviness Consistent punctuality Ability to self-manage time and tasks A record of conscientious customer service Comfort around all types and sizes of dogs Excellent problem solving capabilities Responsibilities Visit pets in their homes on a regular schedule, ensuring their safety and well-being Provide exercise and mental stimulation for during visits Clean up after pets and dispose of waste properly Ensure dogs are properly leashed and secured during walks Follow specific written instructions and guidelines provided regarding pets' care Monitor pets for any signs of distress or illness and report any concerns Maintain a clean and organized work area, including crates, equipment and homesEmployee Benefits:
