An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Position Summary:
We're looking for compassionate, dependable dog lovers to join our team as Dog Walkers. In this role, you'll be the heart of our daily operations—providing midday walks, exercise, and companionship for dogs while their owners are away. Our walkers don't just walk dogs—they build bonds, provide enrichment, and become a familiar, friendly face in the neighborhood.
What You'll Do:
Walk dogs individually or in small groups (no pack walking) Provide mental stimulation and physical exercise tailored to each dog's needs Ensure safety at all times, including leash handling and awareness of surroundings Communicate updates, photos, and notes to clients after each visit via our app Monitor dogs' behavior and well-being, reporting anything unusual to the team Maintain a dependable and punctual schedule
What We're Looking For:
Genuine love and understanding of dogs of all breeds and temperaments Responsible, mature, and able to work independently Excellent communication and time-management skills Comfortable with all weather conditions and physical activity Must have a reliable vehicle and smartphone Prior experience with pets or dog walking is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person Why Join Canine Cardio?
