area is looking for a front line, forward facing, PART TIME Retail Sales Representative to provide excellent customer service in an aquarium retail setting. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. It is a place people come to enjoy their hobby. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store's profitability and knowledge base in the aquarium hobby. Responsibilities Greet and direct customers Provide accurate information and answer questions about animals, aquariums, lighting, filtration, decorations and more. Cross-selling of aquarium products Ensure shelves and aquariums are fully stocked Gain an understanding of products related to aquarium husbandry and animals in the aquarium trade Work as a member of the Retail Sales Team to provide top-notch customer service (especially during peak times) Inform customers about discounts and special offers Provide customer feedback to the Owner and Reef eScape's Retail Manager LEARN and stay up-to-date with new products/services Available to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with flexibility to work additional shifts during the week as hours become available. Care for animals (

Mostly Saltwater:

Fish, Coral, and Inverts) With guidance from experts in the field, care for and feed animals and maintain related equipment Skills & Experience Hands-on caring for saltwater animals is NOT required Aquatic life care experience in any form (professional or hobby) is great, but a desire to learn is more important. Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role is good. Understanding of the retail sales process and customers to a hobby related HAPPY environment, which is FUN for customers AND staff Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures is a plus Basic math and deductive reasoning skills Ability to understand sales expectations by helping customers solve their problems purchases of the right products for them in a LOW PRESSURE, environment Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships Ability to perform in fast-paced environments High school diploma or GED Strong communication skill Familiarity with point of sale systems

Pay:

From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
