Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No weekends or major holidays Fluff & Fetch Dog Grooming is looking for a reliable, hardworking Dog Bather and Grooming Assistant to join our growing team. This is an active, hands-on position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs and wants to learn more about professional grooming. We are especially interested in someone who would like to grow beyond bathing. For the right person, this position may include opportunities to learn grooming skills and advance within the salon. Progress and future education opportunities will be evaluated after six months. Responsibilities Bathe, condition, rinse, and dry dogs according to salon standards Brush coats and assist with basic grooming preparation Safely lift, handle, and secure dogs of different sizes and temperaments Assist groomers as needed throughout the day Complete laundry and maintain clean towels and grooming supplies Clean and disinfect tubs, kennels, equipment, and work areas Vacuum hair and keep grooming and bathing areas tidy Monitor dogs closely and immediately communicate any health or behavior concerns Follow all salon safety, sanitation, and animal-handling procedures Help maintain a calm, respectful environment for every dog What We're Looking For Dependable attendance and punctuality A calm, patient, and compassionate approach to animals Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback Ability to work efficiently in a busy, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail Ability to remain professional when working with nervous, energetic, or difficult dogs Previous animal-care experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person Interest in becoming a professional dog groomer is strongly preferred Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position. Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, reach, and safely lift or assist with dogs and equipment throughout the workday.
