Overnight Dog Kennel Worker - Part-Time Silverbrook Kennels | Fredericksburg/Stafford, VA Silverbrook Kennels is a premier dog boarding, daycamp, and obedience training facility situated on over 10 park-like acres in the Fredericksburg/Stafford area. We're looking for two part-time overnight kennel workers who take quiet pride in doing good work — even when no one's watching.
Shift:
Typically 2:00 AM - 10:00 AM | Weekends and holidays required What You'll Be Doing You'll be the sole person on-site overnight, responsible for the safety, comfort, and care of every dog in our facility. That means this role isn't for everyone — it requires someone who is self-directed, reliable, and enjoys caring for dogs.
Responsibilities include:
Feeding, watering, and airing dogs according to individual schedules and feeding instructions Monitoring dogs for signs of illness, injury, or distress and responding appropriately Give dogs baths, trim nails and basic maintenance grooming. Exercising animals to support their physical and mental well-being Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kennel environment Performing general facility and grounds maintenance as needed What We're Looking For Must be at least 18 years old Comfortable working independently for extended periods — this is a solo shift Detail-oriented and consistent; our dogs rely on routine Physically capable of the demands of kennel work A genuine affinity for dogs is a must; prior experience is a plus Compensation & Growth Starting pay is $14.00/hour.
