In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for dogs in our pet care facility. Your enthusiasm and dedication will ensure that each dog receives the highest level of attention, love, and professional care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with dogs, develop your pet handling skills, and contribute to a positive experience for dogs and their owners alike. Duties Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, watering, exercise, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and waste disposal Handle dogs safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their well-being and staff safety Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor activities to promote healthy behavior and comfort Monitor dog behavior for signs of stress or illness and report observations promptly Perform general cleaning duties including grooming stations, equipment, and facility sanitization to uphold hygiene standards Qualifications Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal care roles is a plus Strong dog handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when moving dogs or supplies safely Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors Outdoor work experience preferred for handling pets during outdoor activities or walks Knowledge of pet grooming, pet boarding procedures, and dog behavior principles is advantageous Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment through diligent sanitization practices Join us in creating a caring environment where dogs feel safe and loved!
