Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pet Bather/ grooming assistant to join our team. We hope to find the right candidate to teach and develop into a pet stylist over time. If you have a passion for animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role is perfect for you.Responsibilities:
- Bathe and prep pets according to specific breed standards or customer preferences
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during bathing procedures
- Assist groomers with prepping pets for grooming sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bathing areas and equipment
- Provide basic care such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and brushing
- Monitor pet's health and behavior during bathing process
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of animal care techniques and best practices
- Experience working with various animal breeds and temperaments
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners effectively
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or kennel environments is a plus
- Ability to handle animals with care and patience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
