Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, and monitoring animals throughout their stay Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal behavior knowledge Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor exercise activities to promote physical health and mental stimulation Support pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and basic trimming when needed Perform animal handling duties including dog training exercises and behavioral assessments Collaborate with team members during heavy lifting tasks like moving large kennels or supplies to ensure safety and efficiency Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any special care instructions Follow all safety protocols related to animal restraint, cleaning procedures, and facility sanitization Qualifications Prior veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel management is preferred Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners and visitors Knowledge of pet grooming, sanitation practices, and animal care standards is a plus Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina for long periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for animals makes a difference every day!
