An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team to provide quality care to our clients. Providing walks during the day as well as feedings and oral medications as required. Able to walk for long periods of time and able to work during under any weather conditions (within safety limits of course) Cleaning up after dogs and scooping litter boxes Exemplary communication skills Extremely detailed oriented & able to read and understand instructions Following directions from your supervisor. Visits are as early as 7am and as late as 9pm.Requirements:
Must love pets their people Experienced with and confident handling dogs of all sizes and breeds. Must have a smart phone Pass a criminal background check (cost covered by employer) Lease or own a vehicle to use for work Able to work in all weather conditions Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed Our commitment to our clients: At The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care, we are committed to being there when our clients need us. We are therefore looking for staff who share that same commitment to be there for our clients- even if sometimes that is at short notice.
Note:
This position is not suited to someone who is looking for set hours each week, for example you want a job working 10-4pm every day. It is more suited to someone who has lots of flexibility to respond to our clients' needs and would love to hang out with pets all day.
