Duties Provide attentive pet care including feeding, grooming, administering medications, and monitoring health status. Handle animal restraint and behavior management to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor activities to keep animals engaged and comfortable. Maintain cleanliness through sanitization of kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold health standards. Support veterinary team members with basic animal handling, kennel cleaning, and equipment setup. Engage with pet owners through excellent customer service by answering questions and updating them on their pets' well-being. Participate in team lifting and outdoor work activities to ensure the safe movement of animals and equipment. Qualifications Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable. Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Knowledge of pet grooming, animal restraint techniques, and kennel operations is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large animals or equipment. Familiarity with pet care facility sanitization protocols and animal behavior understanding is a plus. Outdoor work experience supports adaptability in various weather conditions and environments.
