Kennel Operations Technician Smithfield, VA 23430 From $12.77 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $12.77 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Veterinary kennel attendants care for pets while owners are away. During daily duties, a kennel attendant may clean cages and/or runs, feeding and refreshing water for animals, and exercising/playing with the animals outside. Veterinary kennel attendants during the morning will bathe animals and assist the groomer as needed. In addition to taking care of the animals, attendants will also assist in technician appointments with restraint and perform housekeeping duties. The hours are Mondays-Fridays from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm and rotating weekend shifts and holidays! Job Requirements over the age of 18 years old able to lift over 40 lbs comfortable working in a fast-paced environment able to stand on feet for long periods of time good at multitasking able to clean and do laundry have a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays must be willing to learn how to restrain dogs and cats have the willingness to learn and perform tasks Experience is preferred, however, it is not required
