Experienced Pet Groomer - Part-Time, Commission + Tips Paw Cutz LLC is looking for an experienced Professional Pet Groomer to join our locally owned grooming salon. We provide high-quality, personalized grooming in a professional environment with an emphasis on patient, compassionate and Fear Free handling. We're looking for a dependable groomer who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and genuinely cares about the pets entrusted to them.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of professional grooming experience in a salon setting Ability to groom independently Full-service grooming skills, including breed-standard and client-requested cuts, scissor and clipper work, nail care, ear cleaning and de-shedding Experience working with senior, anxious and fearful pets Strong customer-service and communication skills Dependable, professional and detail-oriented Willing to learn, accept constructive feedback and continue developing professionally Professional grooming certification is not required Grooming portfolio/photos and professional references required

Position & Schedule:

This is a part-time employee position paid on commission plus tips . Groomers typically work up to approximately 6 hours per day, 5 days per week , depending on appointments and salon needs. Monday, Friday and Saturday availability is required. The salon opens at 9:00 AM, with employees arriving by 8:30 AM to prepare for the day. Client intake is primarily between 9:00 AM and noon. Some schedule flexibility is available.

Responsibilities include:

Bathing, drying, brushing and full-service grooming Completing requested and breed-specific cuts Assisting with maintaining accurate client and pet records Recommending appropriate grooming schedules Communicating professionally with clients Cleaning and sanitizing grooming areas Maintaining grooming tools and equipment Assisting with laundry and general salon upkeep Working cooperatively with the team, including helping when a pet requires an extra set of hands
