KittyKat Cat Care is a professional, cats-only in-home pet care company serving families throughout the Seattle Eastside. We are growing our team and are looking for two reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Cat Sitters who take pride in providing excellent care. We are currently hiring for two positions: Position 1: 30-40 hours per week - Best suited for someone with broad availability and flexibility throughout the week. Position 2: 15-20 hours per week - Best suited for someone looking for part-time work who can maintain reliable and flexible availability, including weekends and peak travel periods. Both positions are W-2 employee positions. Hours and schedules may vary from week to week depending on client bookings, seasonal demand, and business needs. About the Job Our Cat Sitters travel between clients' homes to care for their cats while their families are away. This is not a traditional job where you report to the same location or work the same hours every day. You will receive a scheduled route and travel independently between client homes throughout our service area. A typical day may include several visits in different locations, with driving time between appointments. Our visits focus not only on completing essential care tasks, but also on observing each cat's health, behavior, comfort, and individual needs. Schedule & Flexibility Strong schedule flexibility is required for this position. KittyKat Cat Care operates 7 days a week, with visits scheduled between approximately 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Because our clients book care around travel, vacations, work trips, holidays, and other needs, schedules can change from week to week. Candidates should have availability across a combination of: Mornings Afternoons Evenings Weekdays Weekends Holidays School breaks and peak travel periods Weekend and holiday availability is an important part of this position. This position is not a good fit for someone who requires a fixed Monday-Friday schedule or the same working hours every day. Schedules and routes are provided in advance whenever possible. What You'll Do As a Cat Sitter, you may be responsible for: Traveling independently between clients' homes Feeding cats according to detailed instructions Providing fresh water and cleaning food and water bowls Scooping and maintaining litter boxes Cleaning up cat-related accidents or messes when necessary Administering medications when assigned and trained Monitoring appetite, water intake, litter box habits, behavior, and overall well-being Providing play, enrichment, affection, or quiet companionship based on each cat's individual comfort level Respecting shy or fearful cats and never forcing interaction Following detailed care instructions for each household Completing detailed visit reports Taking and sending photos during visits Following home access, key, lockbox, and security procedures Communicating promptly with management about concerns, changes, delays, or unexpected situations Treating every client's home with professionalism, privacy, and respect What We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Are 21 years of age or older Genuinely love cats Are dependable and take commitments seriously Have strong schedule flexibility Have a valid driver's license Have your own reliable vehicle Are comfortable driving between multiple client homes throughout the day Have a smartphone and are comfortable using apps and digital systems Are comfortable working independently Are comfortable entering clients' homes while they are away Have excellent attention to detail Can follow detailed written instructions consistently Have strong communication and time-management skills Are comfortable cleaning litter boxes, vomit, and other pet-related messes Are comfortable around shy, fearful, senior, and sick cats Are willing to learn how to administer basic medications Can remain calm when something unexpected happens Are available for weekends, holidays, and peak travel periods Are interested in a reliable, long-term position Previous professional animal-care experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with pet sitting, veterinary clinics, animal shelters, rescues, boarding facilities, or other animal-care environments is especially welcome. Compensation Compensation is based on completed visits: Regular Visits 20-30 minutes: $15 45 minutes: $20 60 minutes: $30 Holiday Visits 20-30 minutes: $25 45 minutes: $30 60 minutes: $40 Additional driving compensation may be provided based on route and distance. Employees are guaranteed at least the applicable minimum hourly compensation for all compensable working time. Actual earnings may be higher depending on visit length, route efficiency, scheduling, and holiday work. Overtime is paid at 1.5× the employee's regular rate of pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek, as required by applicable law. Payroll is processed weekly. Because this is a driving-based position, applicants who live within or close to our primary service area are strongly preferred.
