Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals including feeding, cleaning, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Maintain clean and sanitary kennel environments through regular cleaning and disinfecting procedures Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety Assist with animal care tasks such as bathing, bedding changes, feeding, and walking Support veterinary technicians with procedures as needed Record detailed notes on animal behaviors and health changes Communicate effectively with other employees and clients regarding pet care instructions and updates on their animals' wellbeing Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; experience with veterinary clinics is a plus Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting animals, cleaning kennels, and restraining pets safely Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) use and maintaining hygiene standards in animal care environments Strong record keeping skills to document treatments, observations, and client interactions accurately Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and team members professionally A genuine passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude to learn new skills in veterinary care This paid part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise while making a meaningful difference in animals' lives.
