In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing top-quality bathing, grooming, and animal handling services that keep our furry clients happy, healthy, and looking their best. Your expertise will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike, ensuring every visit leaves a lasting impression of care and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service within a vibrant, pet-loving environment. Duties Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments during bathing, grooming, and drying processes Perform pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming services with precision and care Restrain animals appropriately using animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, pet health concerns, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or kennel cleaning when needed Handle heavy lifting of equipment or animals in accordance with safety protocols to prevent injury Experience Prior experience in pet grooming or dog handling is highly preferred Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is a strong plus Knowledge of animal care practices including animal restraint and pet sitting techniques Familiarity with kennel operations or heavy lifting tasks related to animal handling Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members Background in dog training or equine experience is beneficial but not required Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate animal care while maintaining safety standards Join us in creating a friendly atmosphere where pets are treated with kindness and professionalism!
