In this role, you will provide exceptional care and exercise for dogs and other pets, ensuring their happiness, safety, and well-being. You'll build trusting relationships with pet owners while delivering reliable, loving care that keeps pets healthy and content. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to turn your love for animals into a rewarding career. Duties Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive proper exercise and mental stimulation. Provide pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication, and maintaining daily routines. Monitor pet behavior during walks and visits, utilizing animal handling techniques to ensure safety. Offer overnight in-home care to pets, including feeding, playtime, and companionship. Restrain animals safely using animal restraint techniques during grooming or veterinary visits. Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' activities, health status, and special needs. Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when required. Skills Experience in dog training and understanding of animal behavior to manage various temperaments confidently. Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable. Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint and pet care best practices. Ability to handle outdoor work comfortably in different weather conditions while exercising pets. Excellent client communication skills to provide updates and address owner concerns professionally. Physical stamina for heavy lifting involved in managing larger dogs or transporting supplies. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques, kennel experience, and pet exercise routines enhances service quality.
