In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance each pet's appearance and comfort, ensuring a positive experience for every furry friend. Your expertise in animal handling, grooming techniques, and customer communication will help build lasting relationships with clients while showcasing your love for animals. Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet breed standards and client preferences Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming procedures, utilizing animal restraint techniques as needed Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat styling to ensure optimal pet health and hygiene Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, special care instructions, and aftercare recommendations Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Assist with pet care duties such as feeding, kennel cleaning, and light veterinary support tasks if required Support pet handling during appointments by demonstrating excellent dog training and animal handling skills Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming Strong knowledge of dog handling, animal restraint, and pet coat styling techniques Familiarity with veterinary procedures including veterinary experience or veterinary technician background is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in heavy lifting during grooming or kennel duties Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners confidently and professionally Experience with animal handling across various species such as dogs, cats, and horses is desirable Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background preferred to support overall animal care responsibilities Join us in creating a joyful environment where pets look their best and feel loved!
