This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while developing valuable skills in animal handling, training, and customer service. Duties Supervise dogs during play sessions, ensuring safe interaction and preventing aggressive behavior Handle dogs gently and confidently, using proper animal restraint techniques when necessary Maintain a clean and organized environment by cleaning kennels, play areas, and grooming stations Provide pet care services such as feeding, administering medications, or basic grooming as needed Observe dogs for signs of stress or illness Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets' activities and address any questions or concerns Experience Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or kennel work preferred but not required; enthusiasm for working with animals is essential Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is highly advantageous Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles adds valuable insight into animal health needs Experience in pet grooming or pet care enhances ability to provide comprehensive care services Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with larger dogs Familiarity with animal restraint methods and animal handling best practices ensures safety for both pets and staff
