Dog Bather

Pet boarding and grooming facility looking to expand grooming services by adding an experienced Bather to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an animal lover who has at least 1 year of prior experience with all of the below listed requirements & qualifications. You must be comfortable bathing dogs of various breeds and sizes. In addition to bathing, your duties will include brushing, nail clipping, expressing anal glands externally, and ear-cleaning services. As a Bather, you should have a passion for help the dogs look their best. Set your own hours and bath as much as you would like anytime Friday - Monday. Depending on your schedule, you may be sharing the grooming room or working alone.

Requirements and Qualifications:

LOVE for Dogs of All Sizes Excellent Customer Service Skills Good Eye-Hand Coordination Patience Ability to Manage Temperamental Dogs when needed Basic Knowledge of Canine Health and Anatomy Comfortable working with various breeds of dogs Ability to work with dogs that weigh over 60 lbs. High School diploma or GED equivalent Ability to work with others Ability to lift dogs that weigh up to 50 pounds Calming presence to sooth dogs Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time Ability to pass a background check Great communication skills - written and verbal

Duties and Responsibilities:

Shampoo and dry dogs Trim or grind pet's nails Ear cleaning Express anal glands Maintain an upbeat attitude Calm an anxious dog Ensure company policies are being followed Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need Take payments for services when needed Schedule appointments when needed
