Pet Groomer

We are a pet boarding and grooming facility looking to expand by adding another experienced Pet Groomer to our team. Our ideal candidate is an animal lover who has at least 2 years of prior experience with all of the below listed requirements & qualifications. You must be comfortable bathing dogs of various breeds and sizes. We expect candidates for this position to have the clipping and scissoring skills necessary to fulfill our clients expectations and have a passion for making dogs look their best. Set your own hours and groom as much as you would like on any of the following days: Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and newly added Sundays. We ALREADY have the clients for you!

Requirements and Qualifications:

LOVE for dogs! Excellent customer service skills Good eye-hand coordination Patience Ability to manage temperamental dogs when needed Precision and grooming knowledge Basic knowledge of canine health and anatomy Clipping and hand scissoring skills Comfortable working with various breeds and sizes High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to work with other groomers Ability to lift dogs that weigh up to 50 pounds Calming presence to sooth dogs Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time Ability to pass a background check Keep detailed records of services performed and manage your schedule effectively Excellent customer service with our pet parents Ability to work on a team Must have your own grooming tools, including clippers, blades, scissors/shears, and brushes. All other supplies provided. Ability to groom cats is a plus but not required

Duties and Responsibilities:

Shampoo and dry dogs Clip or scissor animal coats according to owner specifications Trim and grind pet's nails Perform ear-cleaning services Express anal glands Maintain an upbeat attitude Handle and restrain dogs safely to ensure their comfort and security during grooming Maintain a clean and organized station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized Ensure company policies are being followed Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need Take payments for services when needed Schedule appointments when needed
