Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs while their owners are away. Your love for animals and ability to manage various breeds and temperaments will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our furry guests. Kennel Technicians are responsible for the daily care of all animals at Animal House. This position conducts proper cleaning and disinfecting of all rooms to provide a healthy environment for the animals in our care. The Kennel team provides our animals with love, compassion, daily exercise and enrichment. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including regular cleaning of play areas, kennels, and equipment. Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or unsafe situations. Administer basic care such as feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by pet owners. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dogs' activities and needs. Assist in training dogs in basic commands and socialization skills when appropriate. Handle any emergencies or health concerns promptly while following established protocols. To thoroughly clean and disinfect all animal kennels on a daily basis. Responsible for daily feeding and monitoring eating habits of all animals. To observe animal appearance and activity for general physical condition, obvious signs of illness, disease and discontent. Report signs of illness, disease, injury or unusual activity to a manager. To provide tender loving to all animals. Exercise all eligible dogs and to provide animal enrichment. Perform needed cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and tools used in job assignments. Wash and dry towels and blankets. Wash and sterilize water and food bowls. Experience Ideal candidates will possess a background in animal care or related fields. Experience with the following skills is highly desirable: Dog handling and animal restraint techniques. Previous roles in pet sitting or dog training will be beneficial. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when managing larger breeds or moving equipment.
