Kennel Technician -
Full Time Animal House Pet Care Pay:
Starting at $15-$16 per hour
Schedule:
Full-time, Wednesday-Sunday About the Position Animal House Pet Care is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team! We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with animals but also understands that animal care involves much more than playing with dogs and cats. This is a fast-paced, physical, and hands-on position that includes cleaning, feeding, monitoring pets, and making sure every animal in our care is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing daily care for dogs, cats, and other pets staying at our facility Feeding pets according to individual instructions Providing fresh water and clean bedding Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, suites, cat areas, play areas, and other parts of the facility Letting dogs outside for potty breaks and exercise Monitoring pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or overall well-being Giving medications when instructed and properly trained Doing dishes, laundry, sweeping, mopping, and general cleaning Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment Working together with other staff members to ensure all pets receive excellent care Giving each pet plenty of attention, patience, and love during their stay We're Looking for
Someone Who:
Is dependable and shows up for scheduled shifts Is comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and personalities Is comfortable working around cats and other animals Can handle a physically demanding and fast-paced environment Doesn't mind getting dirty — cleaning up after animals is a big part of the job! Can work independently while also being a team player Pays close attention to details and follows instructions Has good communication skills Is patient, kind, and confident around animals Understands that weekends and holidays are some of our busiest times Previous animal-care experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Schedule & Pay Full-time position Wednesday through Sunday Starting pay: $15-$16/hour Because the animals in our care depend on us every single day, reliability and attendance are extremely important for this position.
