We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Kennel Attendant who enjoys working with dogs and cats, takes pride in cleanliness, and thrives in a fast-paced, active environment. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal welfare, dependable, physically capable, and comfortable working as part of a team. Responsibilities Feed and provide fresh water according to each animal's schedule and care instructions Administer medications accurately according to owner instructions and facility procedures Safely handle, restrain, and move dogs and other pets when needed Let animals out for scheduled potty breaks Monitor animals' health and behavior and report concerns Clean, disinfect, and prepare kennels and suites Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and maintain a clean and sanitary facility Prepare accommodations for incoming and overnight guests Maintain organized work areas and supplies Provide friendly, professional customer service and communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Safely perform heavy lifting, including supplies, equipment, and large animals when necessary Follow all animal-care, sanitation, medication, handling, and safety procedures Requirements & Preferred Skills Reliable, dependable, and hardworking Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment Good with dogs and cats Able to safely handle and restrain animals using proper techniques Comfortable with physical cleaning and heavy lifting Excellent customer service and communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and animal welfare Knowledge of dog training techniques or animal behavior is a plus Previous kennel, veterinary, boarding, or animal-care experience is a plus, but not required. Weekend & Evening Schedule This is one position combining weekend shifts with evening/night let-outs.
Weekend :
Every other Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM Weekend duties include animal care, feeding and watering, medication administration, potty breaks, safe animal handling, kennel/suite cleaning, sanitation, and overnight preparation.
Evening/Night Let-Outs:
Approximately 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM Duties include: Final potty breaks Safe animal handling and movement Checking animals and monitoring behavior Cleaning and preparing kennels for overnight stays Ensuring the facility is clean and secure •Night shifts will be determined based on scheduling and availability.
