Your expertise will ensure that every furry client leaves looking fabulous and feeling confident. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall demeanor to determine appropriate grooming methods Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools are sanitized and equipment is in excellent condition Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their preferences and provide advice on pet care and grooming maintenance Support team members with kennel duties or scheduling appointments to promote overall animal well-being Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, certifications in grooming training, with a strong understanding of different coat types and grooming techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and dog handling skills to ensure safe interactions Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is highly desirable for understanding animal health needs Experience with animal restraint, pet care, and animal handling to ensure safe grooming sessions Ability to lift heavy objects such as tubs or supplies regularly throughout the day Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus for versatile animal care support Availability to work nights and weekends as needed. Pay:
