Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health and well-being of our furry animals while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising them. Maintain cleanliness in kennels, play areas, and common spaces by performing regular cleaning tasks. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff or management. Administer medication as needed. Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing pets as needed. Handle dogs safely during playtime and while on walks to ensure their safety and well-being. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with potential adopters regarding the animals needs and behaviors. Support veterinary staff with basic tasks as required. Skills Experience in dog handling is not required but beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for animal care tasks. Knowledge of kennel operations and pet care practices is preferred.
