Job Description

Overview Ability Dogs of Arizona is an ADI-accredited, owner-train service dog organization looking for a trainer to join our Phoenix-area team. Our new location in Tempe opened this year and we are growing fast. We offer pet classes for the general public, service dog training, and facility dog training.
Our methodology:
We train exclusively using positive reinforcement. We do not use, endorse, or hire trainers who use prong collars, shock/e-collars, choke chains, spray bottles, or any other aversive tools or corrections. If your approach is "balanced," this isn't the right fit. Required certification (one or more):
CCPDT-KA PPG
member/certified KPA-CTP ABC-certified
VSA-CDT / VSPDT
What you'll do: Train service dog teams, facility dogs, and pet class participants Work directly with owner-trainers, not just dogs Nice to have: Experience with service dog training, shelter/rescue behavior work, or vet-adjacent animal handling.
Pay:
$29.00 - $38.00 per hour
