TanqueVerdeRidingClub.com Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Western Riding Instructor to join our team. This position focuses primarily on teaching riders western horsemanship, riding skills, horse care, safety, and confidence. The ideal candidate is an experienced horse person who enjoys teaching, communicates well with students, and can adapt instruction to different ages, experience levels, goals, and learning styles. Key Responsibilities Provide western riding instruction for members (mostly adults) Teach riders proper western riding techniques and horsemanship Develop lessons appropriate to each rider's experience, ability, and goals Teach safe and effective horse handling both on the ground and under saddle Help riders develop confidence, balance, communication, and independence Teach practical horsemanship and horse care as part of the riding experience Recognize rider and horse safety concerns and respond appropriately Communicate rider progress and areas for development to management Work collaboratively with trainers and other staff to ensure consistency in horse and rider development Barn & Horse Care Handle daily barn maintenance including: Refilling slow feeders and grain bins Monitoring and supporting horse wellness Administering fly spray, grooming, and blanketing/fly mask care as needed Maintain clean and organized barn and tack areas Team & Member Support Work collaboratively with other staff and communicate clearly with clients Provide excellent customer service to our members Help create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment Promote safe practices for both riders and horses Required Qualifications Able to work morning and/or evenings Demonstrated experience riding and handling horses Working knowledge of western riding techniques and horsemanship Experience teaching or assisting with riding instruction Ability to safely work with both youth and adults Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift and move 3-string hay bales (up to 100 lbs) when necessary Positive, team-oriented attitude Able to work mornings and evenings (or as our seasons require) Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching youth and adult riders Experience working with beginning or nervous riders Experience teaching horsemanship and horse care in addition to riding First Aid/CPR certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Compensation Hourly wage commensurate with experience. Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
