In this role, you will utilize your expertise in dog training and animal handling to develop customized training programs that promote good behavior, obedience, and socialization. Your enthusiasm for animal care and pet well-being will help clients achieve their training goals while ensuring a positive, safe, and engaging environment for every dog. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families. Responsibilities Design and implement effective training programs tailored to individual dogs' needs, behavior issues, and owner goals Use positive reinforcement techniques to promote desirable behaviors and modify unwanted habits Handle dogs safely during training sessions, ensuring proper restraint and control at all times Assess dogs' temperament, health, and behavior to develop appropriate training strategies Educate pet owners on training techniques, pet care, and behavior management for continued success at home Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment that adheres to animal welfare standards Collaborate with veterinary professionals or veterinary technicians when necessary to address health or behavioral concerns Skills Proven experience in dog training with a strong understanding of canine behavior principles Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Skilled in animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care best practices Ability to lift heavy objects safely as needed for equipment setup or handling large dogs Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners Knowledge of pet grooming, pet sitting, and kennel procedures is a plus Join us in creating happier, well-behaved pets while providing exceptional service to our clients!
