We provide dog daycare, overnight boarding, and training in a fun, active environment focused on the safety and well-being of every dog in our care. This is a hands-on position. You'll spend your day working directly with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities while helping us maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. Responsibilities Supervise dogs during daycare and group play Monitor dog behavior and interactions to maintain a safe environment Feed dogs and follow individual feeding or care instructions Provide water, potty breaks, exercise, and enrichment Assist with dogs staying overnight in our hotel/boarding program Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, floors, bowls, bedding, and common areas Handle dogs safely when moving them throughout the facility Recognize changes in a dog's behavior, energy level, or general condition and communicate concerns to management Follow Urban Dog House safety, cleaning, and animal-handling procedures Help create a positive experience for both our dogs and their owners Work together with the rest of the team to keep daily operations running smoothly What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Reliable and punctual Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds Patient, attentive, and confident around animals Able to work in a fast-paced and physically active environment Comfortable cleaning up after dogs — cleaning is an important part of this position Able to follow instructions and established safety procedures A strong team player with a positive attitude Willing to learn about dog behavior and proper handling techniques Previous experience working with dogs, kennels, daycare facilities, boarding facilities, veterinary clinics, shelters, or dog training is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Physical Requirements This is an active position. Applicants should be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, bending and lifting, cleaning throughout the shift, and safely handling energetic dogs. Schedule Our dogs need care 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays , so schedule flexibility is important. Morning, afternoon/evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required depending on the position. Why Urban Dog House?
