KOVA Sonoma is a premium dog resort in Santa Rosa providing high-quality daycare and overnight boarding. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Lead Kennel Technician to join our team full-time. This is a hands-on position with additional leadership responsibilities. You will work directly with the dogs while helping ensure the kennel team stays organized, completes daily responsibilities, and maintains KOVA's standards for safety, cleanliness, and animal care. Responsibilities Provide attentive care for daycare and boarding dogs Help lead and support kennel technicians during shifts Supervise safe and appropriate dog playgroups Feeding and providing fresh water according to each dog's instructions Administer medications according to established instructions and procedures Maintain clean and sanitary kennels, play areas, yards, and common areas Monitor dogs for changes in behavior, health, or temperament Ensure opening, closing, and daily task lists are completed properly Communicate concerns or incidents promptly to management Help train and guide newer kennel technicians Maintain a professional and positive work environment What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments Strong communication and leadership skills Able to stay organized in a busy environment Willing to work hands-on alongside the team Previous professional animal-care or kennel experience preferred Available to work weekends and holidays as needed Able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including extended periods on your feet and safely handling dogs Position Details Full-time Starting at $21.50 per hour In-person — Santa Rosa, CA We're looking for someone who wants to grow with KOVA Sonoma and take pride in maintaining an exceptional standard of care for our dogs and clients.
